Škoda Auto is looking back on more than 130 years of history with a Classic Days event. The Czech carmaker says it will showcase a selection of models that had a profound impact on the company’s development, tracing its path from a bicycle workshop in Mladá Boleslav to an international car brand.

From bicycles to a global car brand

Škoda’s roots go back to Laurin and Klement, whose first product was a bicycle built in Mladá Boleslav, in what is now the Czech Republic. The company says that more than 130 years later it has grown into an internationally successful car manufacturer, and it is using Classic Days 2026 to reflect on that journey.

Mladá Boleslav is still central to the brand’s identity. The town where the first Laurin and Klement bicycle was made remains the company’s home today.

A showcase of influential models

According to the manufacturer, Classic Days brings together various models that played a significant role in shaping the company. Škoda describes the event as a celebration of craftsmanship and innovation across its history.

The release does not name the cars on display. It also gives no venue or dates and does not say whether the event is open to the public. Further material, including texts, images and videos, is available in Škoda’s interactive press kit on its Škoda Storyboard media platform.

What it means

Heritage events have become a common way for established carmakers to connect their current line-ups with their history. Few mass-market brands can trace their history back as far as Škoda. For enthusiasts, Classic Days is a chance to see how the company’s engineering and design have changed since its earliest days in Mladá Boleslav.

Škoda has not yet published further details of the Classic Days 2026 line-up in this announcement.
