MINI has released new images of the all-electric Cooper SE in British Racing Green, paired with the John Cooper Works Trim. Underneath the classic paint sits the familiar powertrain: up to 160 kW (218 hp) and a WLTP range of up to 400 km (249 miles). The release does not include any new technical changes, prices or on-sale dates.
A heritage colour on an electric hatch
The latest MINI material isn’t about new hardware. It shows how the three-door Cooper SE looks in one of the most historically loaded paint colours in British motoring. British Racing Green has long been tied to British entries in motorsport, and MINI presents it here as a link between its sporting past and its electric line-up.
The car in the new images also wears the John Cooper Works Trim. The JCW name comes from MINI’s long-standing performance links with the Cooper family. MINI says the deep green finish draws attention to the car’s compact proportions, clean surfaces and planted stance. In the company’s words, the result looks “both familiar and unmistakably new”.
Power and range
The numbers are the same as those already quoted for the electric Cooper SE. Its electric motor produces up to 160 kW (218 hp). MINI does not give torque, acceleration or top speed figures in this release.
The high-voltage battery sits low in the vehicle floor. According to the manufacturer, this helps give balanced weight distribution and direct handling. The official WLTP electric range is up to 400 km (249 miles). MINI positions the car for city driving as well as longer trips beyond town.
Combined WLTP energy consumption is quoted at 14.7–14.6 kWh/100 km, with CO2 emissions of 0 g/km and CO2 class A. The release does not state battery capacity or charging power.
A pared-back cabin
Inside, the Cooper SE keeps MINI’s current pared-back interior design, built around a central circular display and digital functions. The company says the cockpit is designed to be intuitive and practical for everyday use while keeping the brand’s distinct character.
What it means
This is a styling showcase rather than a product update. For buyers, it mainly shows how a classic, motorsport-linked colour suits MINI’s current electric three-door, especially combined with the sportier JCW Trim. In a small premium EV segment where personalisation matters, heritage colours like this remain one of MINI’s clearest ways to stand out.
