BMW has released a new batch of media material for the next-generation X5. The latest photos and b-roll footage were captured at the BMW Group Media & Stakeholder Days in Los Angeles in 2026. The release covers the model line developed under the internal code G65, which also includes the all-electric iX5.

Fresh imagery from Los Angeles

The BMW Group has published a new set of media assets for the new BMW X5. According to the company, it consists of on-location photography and b-roll video material. The material was produced during the BMW Group Media & Stakeholder Days in Los Angeles in 2026.

BMW files the release under the topics G65, BMW i, iX5 and X5. G65 is the internal designation for the new generation of the mid-size SUV, and the BMW i and iX5 tags show that the battery-electric version is part of the same model family.

The car in the pictures

The accompanying photo shows a BMW iX5 60 xDrive. Its image file describes the car as finished in BMW Individual Frozen Space Silver and fitted with the M Sport Package.

Few new details

This is a media update, not a technical announcement. The release gives no new figures for power, range, charging, pricing or market launch, and BMW does not add any new specifications for the X5 or iX5 here. Buyers waiting for full technical data and prices will need to look to BMW’s main model announcements.

What it means

The X5 is one of BMW’s key models, and its main rivals include the Mercedes-Benz GLE, the Audi Q7 and the Porsche Cayenne. Because the electric iX5 is filed alongside the X5, BMW appears to be covering combustion and electric drivetrains within a single model line rather than as separate products. The new imagery is the latest part of the model’s media campaign.

BMW has not given availability or on-sale details in this release.
