Lexus will give its updated NX SUV its European debut at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, which run from 15 to 22 November. The revised model gets new hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains, updated styling and an all-new interior. It goes on sale across Europe in spring 2027.
Lexus has picked a tennis tournament rather than a motor show for the European premiere of its updated NX. The mid-size SUV will be on display at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, Italy. The event runs from 15 to 22 November and closes the men’s professional tennis season.
The Turin appearance comes several months before the car reaches showrooms. Lexus says the European market launch is planned for spring 2027.
What changes on the new NX
According to the manufacturer, the NX has been comprehensively updated. The main changes are:
- new hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains
- revised exterior styling
- an all-new interior
Lexus has not yet released technical details, such as power outputs, battery capacity, electric range or prices. More information is expected closer to the market launch.
A key model for Lexus in Europe
The update matters to the brand. The NX is currently Lexus’ second-best-selling model in Europe, behind only the LBX compact crossover. The company says the NX made up almost one third of its European sales in 2025 and in the first three quarters of 2026.
The NX competes in the premium mid-size SUV class against models such as the BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Mercedes-Benz GLC. Electrified powertrains are increasingly important in this segment. Lexus is sticking with a choice of hybrid and plug-in hybrid power for the NX rather than going fully electric.
Why a tennis tournament
The launch venue follows from Lexus’ sponsorship. This is the brand’s fourth consecutive year as a Platinum Partner and Official Automotive Partner of the Nitto ATP Finals. Lexus has held the same partner status with the wider ATP Tour since 2023, and it also sponsors several other ATP events.
