Cupra has put an opening price on its new compact electric car in Denmark, where the Raval Plus is now quoted from DKK 199,990. Preliminary figures give the model a choice of 37 kWh or 52 kWh batteries, 116 to 226 hp and up to 444 km (276 miles) of WLTP range. The company stresses that all data is provisional until the car reaches the market.
Cupra’s Danish organisation has attached a price to its newest and smallest electric model. The Raval Plus is now listed from DKK 199,990, alongside a first set of technical data for the range — all of it described by the company as preliminary.
What the Danish price covers
The DKK 199,990 figure is a recommended retail price for the Raval Plus version. Cupra notes that the cars shown in its own material are fitted with optional equipment, and that the Danish half-yearly CO₂ ownership tax for the model is DKK 460. The company has not said which battery or power output the entry price corresponds to.
Two batteries and a wide power spread
The provisional specification sheet lists two battery sizes: 37 kWh using LFP chemistry, or 52 kWh using NMC cells. Output across the range spans 85–166 kW (116–226 hp), which is a broad gap for a car of this size and suggests several distinct versions rather than a single powertrain.
Energy consumption is quoted at 12.7–16 kWh/100 km, and WLTP range at 310–444 km (193–276 miles). As always, Cupra points out that range depends on driving style and equipment. The release does not break the figures down version by version, so it is not yet clear which battery delivers which range.
Range and charging
On AC power, a full charge from 0–100 per cent takes up to 5 hours 30 minutes at 11 kW. On DC, the company quotes roughly 23–35 minutes for 10–80 per cent at charging powers between 50 kW and 105 kW, measured under optimal conditions. Those numbers are in line with what buyers expect from small electric cars built for city and commuter use rather than long-distance touring.
What it means for buyers
The Raval is Cupra’s entry into the small electric segment, where affordability matters more than outright performance and where a sub-DKK 200,000 starting point is the kind of number that decides shortlists. The brand is positioning the car on design and a sporting, urban character — it describes the Raval as bringing “Barcelona’s pulse” to a compact EV — rather than on value alone, but the price is what makes the rest of the argument worth hearing.
Because every figure in the material is provisional, buyers should treat the range, charging and output numbers as indicative. Final specifications, the full model line-up and confirmed prices will be set at market introduction, the company says.
