Mercedes-Benz is broadening its e-mobility services for business customers in Germany. Together with ChargePoint, the company is launching an integrated solution for charging electrified fleets directly at a company’s own premises. The move targets firms running growing numbers of electric vehicles that need reliable on-site charging.

Mercedes-Benz says it is expanding its electric-mobility offering for business customers in Germany with a new service aimed at charging at the workplace. According to the manufacturer, the solution is being introduced together with charging specialist ChargePoint and is designed as an integrated package for electrified company fleets.

Charging at the company site

The focus is on charging vehicles where they are parked during the working day — at the employer’s own location. For fleet operators, on-site charging is often the most practical way to keep an electric fleet topped up, avoiding reliance on public networks and allowing vehicles to start each day with a full battery. Mercedes-Benz frames the tie-up with ChargePoint as a way to combine hardware and services into a single offer for these customers.

What it means for business buyers

As company fleets shift towards electric vehicles, charging infrastructure has become one of the biggest practical hurdles for employers. A packaged workplace-charging service — bringing together chargers, installation and management under one supplier relationship — is intended to lower that barrier. By partnering with ChargePoint, a company with an established charging platform, Mercedes-Benz is positioning itself as a provider of the wider ecosystem around its electric cars and vans, not just the vehicles themselves.

The announcement is limited to Germany. Mercedes-Benz did not, in the material provided, state pricing, hardware specifications, charging power or a precise rollout date for the new solution.
