Alpine is using the 2026 Paris Motor Show to push its personalisation programme further, adding a new Collection trim for the A290 electric hot hatch and extending Atelier Alpine specifications to the A390 fastback for the first time. The French brand will also give a first look at the styling direction of the third-generation A110, ahead of a separate announcement on 28 September. The stand opens in Hall 6 when the show runs from 12 to 18 October.

Alpine arrives at this year’s Mondial de l’Auto with a display built around exclusivity rather than an all-new model. The centrepiece is the expansion of the Atelier Alpine personalisation programme, which for the first time covers both the A290 hot hatch and the A390 sport fastback. Visitors to Hall 6, Stand A22 will be able to see the new colours, trims and finishes in the metal between 12 and 18 October.

A new Collection trim for the A290

The A290 is currently Alpine’s best-selling model, accounting for 70 per cent of the brand’s sales according to the company. The new Collection trim will be offered on both existing powertrains — 180 hp and 220 hp — with the GT and GT Performance versions serving as the reference grades.

The specification brings Blanc Nival paint with a black roof as standard, body-colour wheel arches and 19-inch diamond-cut Snowflake wheels. Silver front brake calipers and chrome monograms complete the exterior. Inside, Collection cars get a dedicated Bleu Profond / Gris Evee textured coating and fabric combination, plus a new heated black steering wheel; Alpine says this colour and trim package will be exclusive to the A290 GT and GT Performance Collection.

Buyers of the Collection trim can also specify a new Bleu Orage Mat paint finish with a black roof. A wider options catalogue covers Telemetry, the Pack Safety ADAS bundle and cosmetic touches such as a French flag on the C-pillar, a blue steering wheel centre and blue wheel caps. Atelier Alpine moves up to the A390

The A390 will be shown in GTS form wearing the new Bleu Tempête Mat body colour with a black roof. It introduces Alpine sport seats by Sabelt trimmed in genuine Nappa leather in grey, an “Or pale” Alpine monogram, 21-inch forged semi-diamond-cut Snowflake wheels in the same pale gold finish, and a new matt carbon Damier treatment on the console, dashboard and the rear shells of the Sabelt seats.

Alongside it sits a GT painted in Bleu Alpine Vision with a black roof and fitted with new 20-inch Comète alloys of lightweight design. Alpine confirms every option in the Atelier offer will be available on both GT and GTS.

The five-seat A390 uses all-wheel drive with three electric motors and introduces Alpine Active Torque Vectoring (AATV), the brand’s system for carrying its low-mass driving feel into a larger segment.

The next A110 waits in the wings

Paris will also offer a glimpse of where the third-generation A110 is heading. The A110 Future development mule shown earlier this year previewed how the car’s lightweight philosophy might translate to electric power; Alpine describes the forthcoming model as the world’s first true electric sports car, a claim it has yet to substantiate with technical detail. Further information is promised on 28 September, before the show opens.

What it means

The emphasis on trim, colour and craftsmanship rather than new hardware fits a brand trying to move upmarket without a large model range. It also reflects where Alpine’s growth is coming from: the company says almost 80 per cent of A290 buyers are new to the Renault Group, which makes a personalisation programme a logical way to hold on to them and lift transaction prices.

The A290 and A390 are sold through 210 Alpine, Alpine Store and Atelier Alpine outlets across 25 countries.
