Peugeot has introduced a new ENVY special edition for its two best-selling models, the 208 supermini and 2008 compact SUV. Based on the Allure trim, it brings exclusive paint colours, two-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels and a reworked cabin, and is offered across the full petrol, hybrid and electric line-up. Prices start at €24,050 for the 208 ENVY and €30,500 for the 2008 ENVY, with both on sale now.

Peugeot is expanding the 208 and 2008 ranges with a new special edition called ENVY. Rather than a single powertrain-specific version, it is offered across the entire line-up — petrol, hybrid and fully electric — and sits on top of the Allure specification, which the company describes as already generously equipped.

New colours and a two-tone look

Each model gets its own new paint colour, offered at no extra cost. The 208 ENVY introduces Alvao Green, joining Agueda Yellow, Okenite White, Artense Grey, Selenium Grey and Perla Nera Black. The 2008 ENVY gets Nazare Blue alongside Obsession Blue, Okenite White, Artense Grey, Selenium Grey and Perla Nera Black.

The body colours are combined with a contrasting gloss black roof on the 208 and gloss black roof bars on the 2008. Both cars ride on diamond-cut two-tone alloy wheels finished in Black Mist lacquer — 16-inch NOMA wheels on the 208, 17-inch KARAKOY items on the 2008.

A cabin borrowed from the GT

Inside, the ENVY takes the dynamic front seats from the higher GT trim and covers them in an exclusive tri-material Tremezzo upholstery with Opalite blue-green stitching, with a matching Peugeot emblem printed on the headrests. The same blue-green thread runs across the door panels and armrests, and is picked up by a screen-printed motif on a gloss black trim insert at the front.

Peugeot-branded aluminium front door sills are fitted to both cars, while the 208 ENVY also gets a Black Mistral headliner with LED lighting for the front courtesy lamp, rear reading lights and illuminated vanity mirrors.

Equipment upgrades

On top of the Allure equipment, both versions add keyless entry and start plus a high-definition reversing camera as standard. The 2008 ENVY additionally receives a two-position adjustable boot floor, letting owners choose between a flat load area and maximum luggage volume.

What it means for buyers

According to Peugeot, the ENVY costs €400 including VAT more than the equivalent Allure version — a modest premium for the added trim, wheels and equipment, and the reason this kind of run-out or mid-life special edition tends to be an easy upsell in the crowded B-segment. The 208 competes directly with the Renault Clio and Opel/Vauxhall Corsa, while the 2008 faces the Renault Captur and Volkswagen T-Cross, all of which use similar equipment-led editions to keep long-running models fresh.

Notably, Peugeot has kept the special edition available with every powertrain in the range, including the two battery-electric versions, so the styling upgrade is not reserved for the combustion models.
