The fifth Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift ended on 9 August 2026 with Stage 9 in Nice, where Demi Vollering took the overall victory and her compatriot Lorena Wiebes sealed the points classification. Wiebes was handed a green crystal trophy designed by Škoda Design, presented by Škoda Auto Chief Development Officer Johannes Neft. The Czech brand has backed the race as Official Main Partner since it was revived in 2022, and used this year’s edition to put two of its newest electric models on the road.
The fifth edition of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift wrapped up on 9 August 2026 with the finish of Stage 9 in Nice. Dutch rider Demi Vollering won the race outright, while another Dutch rider, Lorena Wiebes, finished the nine stages on top of the points classification.
For that green-jersey win, Wiebes received a green crystal trophy created by Škoda Design. It was handed over by Johannes Neft, Škoda Auto’s Chief Development Officer.
A design piece rather than a standard cup
Handing out a bespoke crystal trophy has become part of Škoda’s cycling programme, and the piece for the points classification winner follows the same idea: a green cup shaped by the company’s own design team rather than a generic award. The green colour ties the trophy to the jersey Škoda sponsors, and the crystal work is a nod to the brand’s Czech home.
A 75-car fleet, and two new EVs on show
Škoda Auto has been the Official Main Partner of the women’s Tour since the event returned to the calendar in 2022, and it sponsors the green jersey for the points classification.
For the 2026 race the manufacturer supplied a fleet of 75 electrified vehicles, made up of Superb iV plug-in hybrids and battery-electric Enyaq models. The support fleet is a practical showcase as much as a sponsorship deliverable — race convoy duty means long days, mixed terrain and steady climbing, all in front of the television cameras.
The new all-electric Peaq took on the highest-profile role of all, serving as the ‘Red Car’ for Race Director Marion Rousse. That car sits at the head of the convoy and is on screen for much of every stage. Škoda’s second all-new electric model, the Epiq, featured prominently in the publicity caravan that runs ahead of the peloton.
What it means
Using a Grand Tour as a rolling launch pad is a familiar tactic in the industry, but the split of roles here is telling. By putting the Peaq in the Race Director’s car and the Epiq in the caravan, Škoda gave its two newest battery-electric models several weeks of visibility across a live international broadcast, at a point when both are still fresh to the market. The 75-strong support fleet, split between plug-in hybrid and fully electric models, also underlines how far the brand’s race-support duties have shifted away from combustion power.
The company has not stated whether its partnership with the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift extends beyond the 2026 edition.
