MINI has entered the Pakistani market with a fully electric model family and is re-entering Jordan from 12 August 2026 after a break in its local presence. The Pakistan launch, run with long-standing BMW Group importer Dewan Motors, covers the electric Cooper, Aceman and Countryman Electric, and was paired with a new BMW and MINI showroom in Karachi. In Jordan, the brand returns alongside importer Abu Khader Automotive, which has represented the BMW Group there since 2010.

MINI has confirmed two market moves for 2026: a debut in Pakistan built entirely around electric models, and a relaunch in Jordan with its current model generation. Both are handled through importers already established in the BMW Group network rather than through new distribution partners.

An all-electric entry in Pakistan

The brand arrived in Pakistan earlier this year in partnership with Dewan Motors, the BMW Group’s long-standing importer in the country. Unusually for a new MINI market, the opening line-up is fully electric, drawn from the models built on the brand’s dedicated electric platform.

That range covers three cars. The electric MINI Cooper is the entry point, keeping the compact proportions associated with the brand and using a circular OLED display as the centrepiece of a pared-back interior. The MINI Aceman sits alongside it as a small electric crossover. The MINI Countryman Electric is the largest of the three and, according to the manufacturer, adds more range, more interior space and the option of all-wheel drive.

The company describes the line-up as combining its familiar design language with locally emission-free driving and what it calls the brand’s go-kart feeling — its long-running shorthand for MINI’s steering and handling character.

A new showroom in Karachi

The launch was accompanied by a new BMW and MINI showroom in Karachi, built to the BMW Group’s Retail.Next retail concept. The company says the format mixes digital touchpoints with face-to-face contact, and it is the same template the group has been rolling out across its dealer network internationally.

Back in Jordan after an earlier run

MINI’s return to Jordan takes effect from 12 August 2026, with Abu Khader Automotive as importer. The company has represented the BMW Group in Jordan since 2010, and MINI’s first showroom in Amman opened in 2012 before the brand’s presence lapsed.

The relaunch brings the current MINI generation to the market. The manufacturer says the aim is to reconnect with existing owners while reaching newer buyers, with sales and aftersales handled locally by Abu Khader Automotive.

What it means

The two markets are being approached differently. Pakistan gets an electric-only opening, which places MINI in a premium niche in a market where the charging network and EV take-up are still developing. Jordan gets the full current generation rather than a specific powertrain strategy, which suggests a more conventional relaunch aimed at a customer base the brand already had.

Neither announcement includes pricing, volume targets or a model-by-model schedule for either country, so the commercial scale of both moves is not yet clear.
