The first Danish reviews of Cupra’s new small electric car, the Raval, have landed, and the reception is overwhelmingly positive. According to figures shared by Cupra, the Raval offers up to 440 km of WLTP range, a 441-litre boot and up to 1,200 kg of towing capacity — unusual for the class. Cupra says the early praise centres on the car’s blend of sporty driving feel and everyday practicality.

Cupra has published a round-up of the first Danish press reviews of its new Raval, the brand’s compact electric car, and the verdicts collected by the manufacturer are strongly favourable.

What the Danish reviewers say

According to the quotes gathered by Cupra, motoring organisation FDM writes that the “Raval hits the mark,” while Bilradio/Jyllands-Posten calls it “the best small car right now. Period.” Used-car marketplace BilBasen concludes that “the Cupra Raval Endurance is a bargain for the price.” The quotes are reproduced here as cited by Cupra and translated from Danish; Drivers Section has not independently verified them against the original reviews.

Cupra says the reviewers single out the Raval for doing something few cars in the segment manage: combining sporty driving character with genuinely practical everyday use. The company describes the result as a compact EV that feels larger and more flexible than the class norm, and notes that testers welcomed the retention of physical buttons alongside the sharp styling.

Range, charging and practicality

The manufacturer quotes up to 440 km of electric range on the WLTP cycle, with DC fast charging from 10 to 80 percent in roughly 24 minutes. The Raval offers a 441-litre boot with flexible rear seats and a towing capacity of up to 1,200 kg, which Cupra highlights as unusual in this segment.

More detailed provisional data puts range at 310–444 km (193–276 miles) and energy use at 12.7–16 kWh/100 km. Fast charging from 10 to 80 percent is quoted at roughly 23–35 minutes at 50–105 kW, while a full 0–100 percent AC charge at 11 kW takes up to 5 hours 30 minutes. Power spans 85–166 kW (116–226 hp), with a choice of a 37 kWh LFP battery or a 52 kWh NMC pack. Cupra stresses that all of these values are preliminary and will be confirmed at market launch.

What it means

The Raval is Cupra’s entry into the closely contested small-EV segment, where practicality, range and price all matter to buyers. Early Danish coverage suggests the car lands well on those measures, though the figures remain provisional and reviews so far are limited to one market.
